Happy PAPA Day! ;)

How to describe my father.

He was a great father, a loving husband to my mother and an excellent provider. He never refused to help a friend or neighbor in need and he knew and had many. I can only imagine what our lives would have been like if he never had to leave but he did. It was sudden and hit me like I never felt. I denied his death (until now) to myself. If he could have been here I know he could have made things much easier. I lost my Papa a month just after my 18th birthday (ang daya.. parang hinintay niya lang na mag-18 ako! :'( and not a year goes by when I don't miss him and wonder what if, I know he watches down on me everyday making sure I'm safe and I look forward to the day I will see him again in heaven ♥ he is always loved and never forgotten. In my honor for my Papa I have never forgotten you, never stopped loving or missing you and always wanting you in my life and to say thank you for always being a part of my life.

I want to write I MISS YOU on the rock and then throw it at your face... so that you know how much it hurts to miss and lose you...

For my Papa (RODOLFO DEPAUDHON) to let him know I care;
I will give him my undying love
In his huggable arms I’ll lay,
To let him know I love him so much.

I look up him as my hero,
In his unique ways, I learn to compromise
His kindness always shows
He’s like an angel in disguise.

Though I may not always know
How to show that I care,
I want to let him realize
I’ll always be here.

I love you Papa
I love you now
I’ll love you forever
And that’s a vow.

See you soon (in heaven)!!!

I wish there was stairs that went to heaven so that I could climb them to give you a hugs and kisses on Father's Day. I always think of you and I miss you so much! Happy Papa Day PAPA! I love and miss you so much!

RIP my Papa angel ;)

"A father is the first man that every girl gets to meet. Unfortunately, most girls do not have an intimate relationship with their fathers unlike with their mothers. This maybe because of gender differences and stereotyped stories of most fathers' infidelity, which dislocates their good impression on people. But if you just give time to be with him, you will find out that having a father as your friend is better than flirting with useless boys around.

One thing that most girls love is shopping. You may think that fathers are not capable of going shopping with you, but you are wrong. It turns out that they know better than you do. They can pick out good clothes that will look good on you, in a way that you will be neither outdated nor indecent. As a guy, they know how a girl will look their best.

Most girls are defeated by boys in sports, and in math. But that never happens to daddy's little girls. Playing sports like badminton, basketball, or even chess is a good way of spending time with fathers. These activities not only enhance our athletic abbilities but also give us time to communicate and share experiences. They do not teach us how to win but how to play the game.

One thing I have commonly observed among fathers is their delicious cooking. I ussually boast about my father's extremely mouth-watering meals. He cooks the best adobo and many other foods in the world. Fathers naturally nurture us with love and fresh cooked meals from their heart.

As I grow older, we spend less time with each other, but I make sure that we can have short random chats every time. I have learned much of him from our daily conversations. I realized that he is noty as uptight as I thought, but just demands respect and proper etiquette. He is not also unreasonable, I only needed time to figure out his reasons. And most of all, being conservative is not as plain and dull as I thought because a simple lifestyle is already enough for a happy life. Some fathers may also be the same; it just takes a little step to meet them half way. Communication is indeed very important in keeping connections. I did not only learn about him but also learned from him important values that I should consider - values that cannot be taught by a mother alone.

Even though fathers are fun to hang out with, not many of them are sympathetic. This is why they are mostly different from mothers. As a guy, they have that unspoken rule of being fixed with their emotions. They may not express themselves always, but at times they show it in ways girls are unaware of. They would love to cuddle their little girls, to annoy, and at most times to be over protective. Their controlling behavior is just a way of showing us how much they care.

Fathers may be known to be strict and not as gentle as most mothers are, but that doesn't mean that they care less acknowledged in parenting, they still play an important role in a child's development. It does not matter who did best, what matters is how everything turned out to be. They provide us with our basic needs to the fullest of their capability, even if it means doing crime, or risking their life, just to provide and make their family happy. Their sacrifices are more valuable than the material things they can buy. They don't just make money, but strive to make a home. A father is someone who will remain strong when everyone else loses hope.

Papa, Daddy, Tatay, Papu, Itay, Ama, Dada; whichever one you call him, he will always watch out for his princess."

Someday - Crazy Little Thing Called Love OST

I don’t know how much longer

That I have to put up with everything

I’ve been hiding all the truth inside my heart

Everytime we meet

Everytime you turn face to me
Though I look indifferent
Do you know how much i have to force myself?
Can you hear my heart calling for you, loving you?
But I can’t open my heart for anyone to know
Can you hear it?
My heart keeps waiting there for you
Waiting for you open it
and hope you will realize..
Someday

Though I love you
Though I feel
but deep down inside, I don’t dare to tell you
Everytime we meet
Everytime you turn face to me
Though I look indifferent
Do you know how much i have to force myself?

Can you hear my heart calling for you, loving you?
But I can’t open my heart for anyone to know
Can you hear it?
My heart keeps waiting there for you
Waiting for you open it
and hope you will realize..
Someday

Can you hear my heart calling for you, loving you?
But I can’t open my heart for anyone to know
Can you hear it?
My heart keeps waiting there for you
Waiting for you open it
And I hope you will realize
That this person loves you
Please I hope you will know
Someday

Balang Araw Tagalog Version of Crazy Little Thing Called Love OST Someday

Measure Of A Man - Part 2

So I’m sure you all noticed that the Measure of Man post almost 2 weeks ago happens to be Part 1 and there has to be a Part 2. To be honest I didn’t know what that would be until today. I wanted to get everyone’s responses, then ponder on what the next part would be so check it out.

As I go through my life, I often wonder how much of what I want is really what I want. Are these desires stemming from within me or is society, my culture, my parents, or my religion pushing me into things I’d want for my life. I’m a spiritual person and I talk to God about everything. I wonder what He wants me to do with my life, how He’d like me to live it, how I affect the people around me, and most importantly I just want a relationship with Him so that He can work through me so that way He gets all the credit. But this journey of mine with God is a process and things are revealed to me one step at a time. So for me I want to make sure that me and God are on the same page.

So let me get to the point... lol After reading everyone’s comment, I wondered about what role men really play in a woman’s life these days. I mean, I’m one of four girls and my Dad raised us to be independent and focused on reaching our goals.Where does a man fit into this entire idea of I’m “independent…I don’t need anyone to help me…I can get the house the car all on my own and a career going....thank you very much!” Not to say that we should be depending on a man for any material things. I'm not talking to superficial woman right now. I'm talking to those who have reached or is working towards reaching all their career goals, maybe the material things that you know you want etc....

Where does a man fit in?? Let me be the Male species’ advocate and ask the ladies:

What role would you want a man to play in your life?

Forget about your list of expectations and standards for one second…

Tell me why you feel the desire to have a man in your life?? Not that I’m saying that you NEED one lol But why is it a desire of yours to have someone in your life and where did that desire come from? Be honest now!

As for those Men out there don’t think I’m leaving you out. I want you to answer this question:

What role do you think you play in a woman’s life?

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this!

Lovers and Bestfriends

I like relationships where you can be both lovers & best friends. It’s not everyday where you’ll find someone that’s willing to be your best friend and your boyfriend/girlfriend. You’ll playfully hit each other, punch each other, kick each other, tease each other, pinch each other, squeeze each other until they say stop. But in the end, you’ll hug each other like there’s no tomorrow. You can confide secrets to each other as if they’re the only ones you can trust, you’ll help each other out, & even give them advice. But having a relationship as both lovers and best friends are the best kind & the ones that many people long for.

A Mother's Heart

I'm so glad that I was given the opportunity to express my gratitude to the person whom I love the most. I believe that not all have the chance to speak or show appreciation to whoever made their life complete. I'm not blogging this because I want to, but I'm getting intouch with this masterpiece because I have a purpose. For more than 20 years of grasping a breath and facing the beauty of earth every morning, I must say that even solidarity of words to her had never been spoken and put accross. Now, I'm taking this moment as I reveal the secrets and wonders behind this entire being, the things that I crave to show off ever since I started my journey in this fallen world. How life is such astonishing to subsist and keep my head above water and how epitome her presence is.

I found reasons why this life needs to be managed to survive more. I found a reason to fall down laughing and enjoy its pleasure. I found a reason not to squander every drop of time. I found reasons to keep holding and continue struggling for. I found the reasons to realize my castles in the sky and clasp the pinnacle of triumph. i found all the reasons because I found the much-loved person whom I want to share it with - my mother.

A ship without direction is like a person with no purpose. time passes by without knowing its quintessence. Candidly speaking, I'm too introverted to utter the words I wanted to convey. I comprehend that her sacrifices is a great extent and that it's time for me to repay it even a simple phrase would do. With this keyboard and computer, I'm scribbing each term just to represent the lexis that long before were just a hallucination, but, it turns now to realityy. I'm expressing these sentiments for she captivated my lonely life. From a little child gently showering her good deds as an individual grow into its perfection. Her love is unending that no one can ever take its place no matter whaat. Not even a case of money or billions of treasures.

Without her my life would be meaningless. We went through hardships and trials. We encoountered outrageous episodes of life. We suffered lots of troubles. Together we failed but soon we are clasping both hands and rise to fight. Stoop and find each way to deal the true color of life. All of our undertakings are only challenges. Challenges which serve as a true gift that probably alter my nature. Who awakens the real me.

It's hard to explain all the good things she offered; even though I'm a hard-headed child she's always at my side reaching over my mistakes. Sometimes I cannot evade to hurt her in some aspects, but, this would not probably mean that our relationship is not tighter, perhaps, no one can ever ruin her life as long as I'm here standing straight and putting my feet in the ground. I will offer my life the way she offers her life to me.

...I love you... are the words I'm searching for.

It's When You Hurt The Worst That You Love The Most

How very well said.

What a crazy thing, right? Time comes when you really have to let go of someone who matters to you. And even if you try to stop it, you just can't. You're left with no choice but to accept that it has to happen.

It sucks though, when you know you have given everything and things still go wrong. But everything is part of God's plan. It's up to Him whether He'll bring you and your loved one back together, or give you both someone more suited to each of you. It never occured to me that despite my being busy with my work, I'd still find it hard to get over that experience.

Sometimes, I feel like I'm totally over it - like I'm ready to love and be loved again. Like I can face new challenges and overcome them all. But on second thought, maybe I'm not. I sometimes feel totally weak inside - like I could never love or give that much to anyone again. Can anyone show me an easy way to overcome this? Sometimes I feel like I never can.

Tell me I'm pathetic - I'll accept it. But what can I do? I can't help feeling this way. Truth is, I'm tired of it myself, I just don't know how to make the hurting stop.

Breaking Up: Was It For The Wrong or Right Reason?

Everyone knows that developing a relationship and keeping it going is very difficult. Some days are blissful, other days there are misunderstandings, and then there are times where you feel like something died in the relationship and you just don't know how you are going to fix it. However, if you really love that person and you are interested in making things work you can have something solid.

One of my new-found friend said something funny the other day about why it has to be so hard to find someone and how that part of our lives can be quite a challenge. Sometimes you do feel like its a game that you either win or you keep losing. Well I want to talk about the times when you feel like you lose. Picture this scenerio.......

Enzo is his name. He's smart, good personality, sense of humor, he makes and effort to call, sets up dates, he shows a vested interest in you. Oh, lets not forget that he's great on paper too (e.g. job, house, education) He is what I would call the the great guy...Kevin is doing everything to show you he's worth a second look.

Sarah meets Enzo and she says yes when he asks her out. She goes on a few dates with him...and you know what...he's doing everything right. He's a great guy. But Valerie doesn't seem to be into him...She doesn't feel that physical attraction..So she breaks up with him...A few months later she realizes that she tends to choose the men that are what I'd call players/pretty boys...Men that will often play with your heart and leave it laying on the streets to get run over. The ones that show interest because they want one thing.

Have you ever thought of the woman or that man who you encountered in your life that you let walk out of your life because you didn't take a closer look or you let something good go for some reason that seems ridiculous now...Whether it was a couple of dates/months/year you look back and now you're beating yourself up wishing you had a second chance.

If this happened to you....why did you let them go?

How We Feel vs How Much You Spend

I was just wondering…. How much do you spend on a guy or girl you’ve been dating for a little over 6 months to a year? I mean what if you needed a laptop and your boo buys it for your birthday…when his/her birthday rolls around do you feel pressured to buy something of great value even though you can’t afford it? What do you do? When we purchase items for the people we are dating, are our feelings towards them measured by the monetary value of those gifts?

True Love? What's That?!

Someone asked me today if I believed in true love.  How do I respond to something like that?! There has to be true love out there for everyone, it is OUR responsibility to find it, hold on to it and never let it go.  Right?
I like looking for definitions of words that we as a society like to use to express our feelings and emotions for one another.  Love is defined in wikipedia as an intense feeling of deep affection.  What does that mean?  I have an intense feeling of deep affection for lots of things, from foods to pets and all else in between.  So why do people get held up on the word love?  What does love have to do with a marriage?  Is it really LOVE or the idea of love, just like the idea of marriage post that I wrote the other day.  The idea of true love is what keeps us in dead-end relationships but also what might give is the leap of faith to jump into one.  True love is different for everyone, my definition and idea of true love might be different from yours, from our elders, grandparents and so on.
Which brings me to my next question, does the definition of love change over time?  Is true love the feeling of butterflies in our stomach when we see, hear from or spend time with that special someone in our lives?  Is it the high school girl or boy inside of us that gets giddy with excitement when the phone rings or when we receive a text message from her/him?  Or is it more?  Is it the commitment that we show one another day in and day out that proves our love for one another, is it riding life’s roller-coaster and never looking back no matter what the obstacles that stand in our way are, facing those obstacles not as individuals but as one mind, body and soul together.  That is what I think true love is.
Someone once said that when we love, it isn’t because the persons perfect, but because we learn to see an imperfect person perfectly.  Seriously thought provoking stuff right?  No one is perfect, not me, not you, no one.  BUT, when we are with someone, we need to look past his or her imperfections, and extend our heart, mind and spirit to that person.  We need to commit completely and trust our heart with our partners and not hold back.  Holding back, building up a wall around you and your feelings only keeps people away.  Trusting in love, in your partner, in your soulmate will lead to true love.  Of course, your spouse must do the same, otherwise it is a one way street.  Both people need to give the relation 100% otherwise it is doomed before it even started.  Trust each other to not hurt but to care for and love each other and you will both experience the ever sought after true love.  Of course there are many other factors involved, but I believe this is one of the most important.  Without commitmence to love, the idea of true love will never appear.
The idea of true love is what we all seek, but few rarely find.  Do not rush into love, do not force it either.  I recently have started going back to church and have never been very religious in my adult life.  I have pushed away from God and looking back I can see where and when things started to go bad, and strangely enough I believe it started to go bad when I stopped looking for Him.  I am not going to turn this into a religious blog but I will say this.  God, whether you believe in him or not, did not intend for us to be alone.  He did not intend for us to live life without love, because if he would have he would not have created man and woman in his likeness.  Adam had Eve, created by God to love and to wed.  The oldest love story in history is of man and woman who loved each other.  Obviously it ended not so well but that is for another blog entry :) .  Maybe something like why woman destroyed mankind!  LOL I am just joking but I do believe that old saying that God has someone special for each and every one of us.  It is up to us though to find that person and love them with open hearts.
I hope that answers the question.  Do I believe, yes, I do, BUT it takes work, hard work on both sides.  It is not a fly-by-night emotion, “oh I love her so now everything will be ok forever!”  No, this is not hollywood, this is real life and in real life there are many hurdles we need to jump and many doors we need to walk through.  Question is, will you walk through that door and jump over those hurdles with someone you truly love or by yourself?

What Is True Love And How Do You Know When You Have Found It?

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” —I Corinthians 13:4-8a (NIV)

This verse describes the characteristics of true love. These qualities can certainly be found in the person of Jesus Christ, and they can be found in all truly loving relationships. The problem with trying to “find” love in our dating lives, is that too often we don't look for these characteristics. Rather we look at physical appearance, popularity, or wealth. These are not the qualities that God looks at and neither should we.
But the LORD said to Samuel, “…The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
—I Samuel 16:7b (NIV)
Love is best seen as devotion and action, not an emotion. Love is not exclusively based on how we feel. Certainly our emotions are involved, but they cannot be our only criteria for love. True devotion will always lead to action—true love.
Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with ACTIONS and in truth.
      I John 3:18 (NIV)
Christ was devoted to us enough to give his own life for us (Romans 5:8), even when he didn't feel like it (Matthew 26:39).

Sex is not love! Our culture has taught us that sex and love are one in the same. This is a lie. Sex is a beautiful God-given activity that is wonderful when practiced within the boundaries of a Biblical marriage. Sex is the completion of the binding of two people within Biblical marriage; it is a God-given gift.

PRE-MARITAL SEX

Because premarital sex is not love, it only leads to pain and disappointment for those who are seeking that love. The Bible says that when two people are married, they become one flesh (Ephesians 5:31). Sex is consummation of that union. When two people break off their relationship after having sex, it is like ripping apart flesh. This is why twoteenagers will struggle so much and become so dependent on those they give their bodies to. In light of I Corinthians 13:4-8 (above), it is easy to see that premarital sex is not patient, it is not kind, it does not protect, it is self-seeking. It is not love!

IDENTIFYING TRUE LOVE

We can only identify true love and know when we have found it, based on the Word of God. When we match our relationships up to what the Bible says that love is—and we are honestly prepared to make a life-long commitment to that person—then we can say that we are truly “in love.” The three keys to that statement are:
We have to…
  1. …look at the Word of God

  2. …be completely honest with ourselves

  3. …understand the level of commitment that comes with true love

L.O.V.E.

Life is nothing without you in my life
Over time, my love just gets stronger
Varied backgrounds we come from yet
Everything falls into place when we’re together

What is love?

"Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two."

Bitter...

---

bitter ako eh. -_-

Lessons on Love

Sometimes, in our incessant efforts to find the person we love, we fail to see and appreciate the people who love us. We would miss out on so many wonderful things simply because we allow ourselves to be enslaved by our own selfish concerns. We keep on looking so far away when all we needed to do was look behind us.

They say that one will find rewarding happiness not with the the man she loves but with the man who loves her more. To "go for the man of deeds and not for the man of words". I believe that the best lovers are those who are capable of loving from a distance --far enough to allow the other person to grow, but never too far to feel the love within your being.

When you let someone go, it doesnt necessarily mean you have to stop loving that person. It only means that you're allowing that person to find his/her own happiness without expecting him/her to come back. To let go is not just setting that other person free, but yourself as well --- you are setting yourself free from all the bitterness, hatred, and anger that you may keep in your heart.

Bitterness may rare away your strength and weaken your faith. The experience of pain may dishearten you, but you shouldnt allow that. Instead, it should let you grow in wisdom bearing it. Pain will only make us stronger, wiser.

Sometimes, we'd think that we have found peace in just loving someone from a distance not expecting anything in return. But though this can sustain life, it can never give us enough room to grow. We tend to be stuck in the past that we sometimes end up losing ourselves. We can all survive with just beautiful memories of the past but then again, real peace and happiness will only come once we've accepted of what reality is today.

Then there comes a time in our lives when we chance upon someone we get so intensely attracted to. This attraction soon becomes part of our daily lives and eventually consumes our thoughts and our actions. The sad part of it is when we begin to realize that this person feels nothing for us and all they can offer is a platonic relationship. We start our desperate attempts to get noticed and be closer but in the end, all our efforts are unrewarded and we end up just feeling sorry for ourselves.

One doesnt really need to forget someone he/she has fallen for. What is needed though, is to learn to accept reality without being bitter or sorry for yourself. Trust me, you would be better off giving that dedication and love to someone MORE DESERVING. Dont let your heart run your life. Ive made that mistake before. We should learn to be sensible and let our minds speak for itself. Listen not only to your feelings but to reason as well... you'd be surprised at how irratinal one is when letting emotions run her life.

Always keep in mind that if you lose someone today, it only means that someone better is coming tomorrow. Or next week. Or next year. Who knows? Be patient. It will come. If you lose love, it doesnt mean that you failed in love. CRY is you have to. Cry til your eyes run dry but make sure all those tears wash away all the hurt, the hate and the bitterness that the past has left with you.. Let go of yesterday and love will find its way back to you. And when it does, pray that it may be the love that will stay and last a lifetime.

as for me, I'm still waiting.... but i know that when HE comes, everything will be worth it. :)
